I look forward to being a part of the team that helps run these events and I’m very thankful for the opportunity.”
Gabby Dethrow - Operations
Gabby is back again! A Southern Illinoisan from Sparta, she is currently studying Recreation, Sport, & Tourism - Sport Management concentration with a minor in business as a senior at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She has played golf on and off her whole life, but started competing in high school. Her favorite thing about golf is that it is constantly challenging physically and mentally and there is no such thing as an easy day out on the course. When she is not studying or working, Gabby enjoys hanging with her dogs, trying new restaurants, and staying active. You may recognize Gabby when you are out on the course as she is reprising her role as a Boatwright Operations Intern from last year. Over the last school year, she also interned at Atkins Golf Club (University of Illinois home course) as a banquet and events intern. Gabby will be with us for three more months this summer as an Operations Intern and had this to say about the opportunity, “I am looking forward to gaining more knowledge from the Metropolitan GA Team while creating lasting memories!”
