Fogt Earns Lone Qualifying Spot
Brian Fogt had an Even par round of 71 today at Norwood Hills Country Club to earn the one qualifying spot available to the 2012 US Senior Open. Fogt edged out JC Anderson by one shot to earn his first trip to the senior version of the USGA Open championship. Fogt has played in four US Open Championships.
Anderson’s 72 earns him first alternate and Robert Wilkin (Lenexa, KS) had a 2-over par 73 for the 2ndAlternate spot.
Norwood Hills CC member David Johnson and Jack Eisenbeis shared the Low Amateur honors with 3-over par 74s on the day.
The 2012 US Senior Open will be played July 12-15 at Indianwood Golf & Country Club in Lake Orion, MI.
