2013 Mid-America Junior Cup Team
MAGA will travel to Kansas City, MO October 26-27 to compete in the Mid-America Junior Cup matches against the Kansas City Golf Association. The host club, Blue Hills Country Club, was the club to host the inaugural cup matches in 1998.
This will mark the 15 year anniversary of the annual matches between the two Associations. The matches were created to foster team play, camaradiere and relationships between the top juniors from St. Louis and Kansas City. MAGA currently holds the cup and holds a 9-4-1 record over KCGA.
The 2013 MAGA team will be comprised of the following juniors:
Girls: Elizabeth Leath, Emily Goldenstein, Mia Schroeder and Shannon Gould
Boys: Jimmy Siegfried, Scott Schaeffer, Chris Ferris and Crimson Callahan
This event is unique to the juniors because of the match play format they rarely get to compete in. Saturday’s format will be Four-Ball Match Play, where boys will play against boys. Sunday’s format changes to Foursomes (Alternate Shot), but the teams will be comprised of boys and girls.
