Norwood Hills and Glen Echo to Meet in Metro Cup Final
The season long Metropolitan Cup Championship has come down to the final match, with some North County flavor. The two club that sit on Lucas & Hunt up north, Norwood Hills CC and Glen Echo CC have made it through the playoffs to meet in Thursday’s final match. The final match will be played at Old Warson CC, who won the 2012 Championship.
Glen Echo, the 2 seed in the playoffs, won all 3 of its regular season matches, defeating Fox Run, Annbriar and Far Oaks to make the playoffs. Norwood Hills, the 4 seed and 3-time champion of the Metropolitan Cup, also swept its 3 regular season matches. They got through Gateway National, Raintree and Sunset CC to reach the playoffs.
