Jin, Thomas Qualify for US Junior
Cheng Jin (Singapore) and Frankie Thomas (Chesterfield, MO) qualified Tuesday at Old Hickory GC for the 2014 US Junior Championship. Cheng fired rounds of 71-68 for a 36-hole total of 5-under par to claim medalist honors.
Thomas came back strong in Round 2 with a 3-under 69 to get back into contention follow on his 75 in the morning. Even par would hold on for the second spot.
The US Junior will be played July 21-26 at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, TX.
