Migdal Medalist in US Amateur Qualifying Monday
Joe Migdal earned medalist honors Monday at Jefferson City CC with the only 36-hole under par total. Migdal fired back-to-back 69s tfor a 4-under par 138 and a spot in the US Amateur next month. The US Amateur will be played August 11-17 at the Atlanta Athletic Club.
Four others completed play at Even par 142, a 4 for 2 playoff would ensue. After an hour long delay for weather in the middle of the day, the playoff began just before 8pm. Jack Comstock, Tanner McKinney, Andy Spencer and Wilson Sundvold were in the playoff.
Comstock and McKinney would come out of the playoff with the final two spots, needing 3 holes to complete play and at 8:50pm.
