Annbriar To Perform Double Duty Tuesday, Hosting Two USGA Qualifying Rounds
This will be a first for MAGA and St. Louis, the US Mid-Amateur and US Women’s Mid-Amateur qualifying rounds will be conducted Tuesday at Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo, IL. The Women’s event will play first in the morning with just 7 ladies attempting to qualifyin for two spots in the US Women’s Mid-Amateur. They will begin play at 7:30a and go to 7:50a.
The men will wait about 30 minutes and begin play at 8:15am on the same course. Sixty-four have entered, four (4) will advance to the US Mid-Amateur at Saucon Valley Golf Club.
This is a first for MAGA, conducting two separate USGA qualifying rounds on the same day and on the same course. With a low number expected for the Women’s (we had 4 players in 2012), Annbriar agreed to host both on the same day.
