Amateur Series #3: Great Play at Crescent Farms on Monday
Crescent Farms was a gracious host for the 3rd installment of the 2014 Amateur Series. The golf course got some great reviews from the players in our first visit to Crescent for the Series.
There were a bunch of ties this time around at the top of Divisions. In the Scratch Open, 4 players tied at the top with 2-over par 74s. Robert Barrett came out on top of the card matching playoff to capture the first place spot. Budd Allen, Kevin Jeske and Parker Lawrence also had 74 on the day.
In the Senior Scratch, Ollie Crow had the low round at 73 to win his Division by a four shot margin over Gordon Smith.
Net Open had a two-way tie at the top, Patrick Wilson and Mark Moreland fired 3-under Net 69. Wilson would win the playoff for his first win in the 2014 series in his first event.
The Senior Net Division also had a tie at the top. Michael Scoles and Leo Hefner would compete play tied at 2-under 70. Hefner would claim top prize after the card matching.
