2008 Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association Player of the Year Point System
The following are the St. Louis Metropolitan Area amateur golf championships in which points are awarded to top finishers toward the Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association Player of the Year and the compilation of those points. Those securing one of the final top sixteen (16) places on the Point System will be invited to the Metropolitan Match Play Championship the following year.
Note 1: A player's finish in the Metropolitan Championship will be used as a tie-breaker to settle ties from the point system.
Note 2: The Committee reserves the right to adjust the allocation of points if the number of holes played in a championship is reduced.
Eligiblity: To be eligible, a player must be an amateur golfer affiliated with or a member of a club which is a Member Club of the Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association. This eligibility requirement also applies to the Metropolitan Match Play Championship.
