The 2008 Deadline for Application Has Now Passed

The Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association will continue to offer a partial rebate of Metropolitan membership dues to those individuals who maintain a membership at more than one Metropolitan Member Club for the 2008 golf season. This policy was adopted in an effort to more closely reflect the costs and benefits that such individuals receive at each individual club.

In order to receive a rebate, a golfer must have had full Metropolitan membership dues paid for him/her at two or more Metropolitan Member Clubs in 2008 and must complete and return the Multi-Member Rebate Form to Metropolitan no later than September 1, 2008. Each form will be thoroughly reviewed and those who meet the eligibility requirements will receive a $7.50 rebate for each additional Metropolitan membership. For example, an individual who had full Metropolitan membership dues paid on their behalf at three Member Clubs in 2006 will be eligible for a total rebate of $15.00 ($7.50 each for the second and third memberships). Rebate checks will be forwarded directly to eligible members in December 2008.

While completing and submitting the rebate form, please consider the following:

  • Do submit a form only if you fulfill all of the following eligibility requirements:
    • You are an active member of two or more Metropolitan Member Clubs,
    • Full Metropolitan membership dues were paid by your Clubs on your behalf,
    • You possess the same GHIN number at all Metropolitan Member Clubs.
  • Do Not Submit a form if you have an active 9-hole GHIN number and an 18-hole GHIN number, as GHIN numbers for the two services are separate.
  • Do fill out the form completely and legibly. Be certain to provide your six-or-seven-digit Metropolitan GHIN number, as well as the number and name of the Metropolitan Member Clubs of which you are a member in 2008.
  • Do let us know if your name is listed differently at each of the clubs. It is difficult for us to trace and confirm your multiple memberships if you are listed under different names (i.e., Robert Smith, Bob Smith, Dr. Smith).
  • Do Not phone or write to us about not receiving your rebate prior to December 31, 2008.  All checks will be issued at the same time in early December, regardless of whether the rebate was received in July or on the deadline date. We do this in order to minimize costs.  If we find that you are not eligible for a rebate, you will be notified.  If you are eligible, the check will be issued in December.

If you have paid for a Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association membership at more than one Member Club and were issued the same GHIN number at each Club, you may complete the form below, in its entirety, to receive a rebate of $7.50 for each membership beyond your first membership.

IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION:
  • In order to receive a multi-member rebate, the GHIN # must be the same at all clubs.
  • Multi-memberships do not apply to members that are active in a 9-hole service and an 18-hole service.
