2011 AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP HONORARY STARTERS
Founding Members to Commemorate MAGA 20th Anniversary
In 1992, the Metropolitan Amateur Golf
Association (MAGA) was formed and 
began serving golf clubs and courses in the St. Louis
region. 2011 marks the 20th anniversary of MAGA.
In honor of that 20th
anniversary, founding members Mike Corry, Stan Grossman, Jim Holtgrieve and Tom
O'Toole, Jr. will be honorary starters prior to Round 1 of the 21st Metropolitan
Amateur Championship on Thursday, August 11th at St. Louis Country Club.
At right, is the original logo used by MAGA through the 2005 season
before changing to the current logo you see on the top right of the website.
The group will commence their round at 7:15a and play 9-holes to
commemorate the anniversary!
