19th METROPOLITAN WOMEN'S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
Galande Captures MAGA Women's Title
Schwete Galande played the final round of the 19th Metropolitan Women's Amateur in 1-under par and finished at 145 to earn a 5 shot victory in her first MAGA Women's Amateur. Galande, a native of India, will be a Junior at University of Missouri-St. Louis in the fall. She found herself one shot back of fellow Triton Clara Vila following Round 1.
Missouri State University golfer Catherine Dolan finished Runner-Up after rounds of 76-74. Ellen Port and Gina DellaCamera each shot 151 to tie for third. Port was looking for her 13th Women's title.
In other flights: B Flight -- Ann Dollarhide won with a NET 1-under par; Lea Gorg was Runner-Up. C Flight -- Carol Cullinane won with a NET 7-under par total; Alicia Anderson was Runner-Up.
