Edwards Comes
From Behind, Captures Second Senior Title
Scott Edwards (Persimmon Woods GC) came from 6 shots
back after round 1 to capture his second MAGA Senior title, he also won in 2009.
After opening the championship with a 6-over par 78, Edwards fired the
championship's low round of 3-under 69 to win by one.
Round 1 leader Andy Frost (Bellerive CC) earned the Runner-Up silver medal
finishing the championship with rounds of 72-76 for a 148 total. Two shots back
of Edwards was 2008 champion Scott Thomas (Meadowbrook CC) at
149.
With his 4th place finish, Jeff Johnson (Bogey Hills
CC) secured the 2012 MAGA Senior Player of the Year.
