Edwards Puts His Name on 2nd MAGA Trophy
Scott Edwards, Persimmon Woods GC, fired a second 72 to win the 17th Senior Amateur Champion
ship by 5 shots and earning his spot on the George F. Meyer Trophy. Dennis Osborne, CC of St. Albans, was Runner-Up at 149.
This is Edwards second MAGA Championship, six years ago on his home course he placed his name on the Jim Tom Blair Trophy for winning the 2003 Metropolitan Amateur Championship. This makes Edwards the third player to have won both Championships, following Don Bliss and Jim Holtgrieve.
