2010 Metropolitan Amateur Series

Players must first JOIN the Amateur Series before being eligible to register for individual events. Online Series Registration Sign Up/Login to your Player Account MAGA PLAYER ACCOUNT Choose PROGRAM SIGNUP and join the Amateur Series Register for the individual Series events! Rules and Regulations - Points System ONLINE REGISTRATION - PRINTABLE ENTRY FORM	All entries for the Metropolitan Amateur Series can be downloaded in Adobe Acrobat format. Adobe Acrobat reader may be downloaded here. Entries can be downloaded by clicking PRINT ENTRY FORM OR enter online by clicking ENTER ONLINE All MAGA Championships entered online will be accompanied with a processing fee. ONLINE REGISTRATION There is a NEW online entry process for 2010, it is much improved over the previous online registration system. You MUST have your GHIN number ACTIVE with your Club to utilize it. Also, if you have not otherwise done so, check to see if a PLAYER ACCOUNT has been setup for your based on previous participation in MAGA Championships. Attempt to login with your GHIN number and use the same number for password. Visit MAGA PLAYER ACCOUNT to check if an account has been setup. After logging in, please change your information to something unique to you. WITHDRAW POLICY Anyone who withdraws from an MAGA Championship, who has entered such Championship online and has withdrawn in a timely manner as indicated under the Championship Regulations will be charged a $5.00 processing fee for that withdrawal.

Metropolitan Amateur Series Rules & Regulations Series Membership and Event Entry Fees Series membership is $25.00 if you have a USGA GHIN Handicap Index with a Member Club of MAGA. Golfers who do not have a USGA GHIN Handicap Index, or would like to transfer an already existing number, may join for $50.00 and be a member of the Metropolitan Golf Club. Entry fees per event include: green fees, carts and prize certificates. Prize Certificates Prize certificates are awarded for each event in each flight. The number of places is based on the number of entries. Prize certificates may be redeemed at the Club where played. Format and Field 18 holes stroke play, field limited to 96 players per event. Entry Procedure All entries must be received by 5:00pm on the entry deadline. MAGA only accepts online, mailed or delivered entries. NO WALK ups will be allowed! Use the APPLICATION FOR ENTRY attached hereto for any or all of your entries. Withdrawal Policy 1. Withdrawal before entry deadline - refund in the amount of entry fee less administrative fee of $5.00 2. Withdrawal after entry deadline regardless of reason - entry fee less $25.00 Starting Times and Player Information Groupings will be emailed and posted on the MAGA website following the entry deadline. Starting times for weekday events will begin at 8:00am; weekend events will begin at 11:00am. All events will begin from the 1st tee. Tour Championship Based on points earned during the regular season, the top 18 players and ties from each flight will be invited to the Series Championship. This will be a 2-day event at the end of the season. A player must participate in 2 events in their respective flight to be eligible for the Series Championship. No-Shows & No-Cards A player who does not participate in an event that they are registered for and does not properly withdraw from the event will be considered a no-show. A player who fails to return their scorecard following their round will be DISQUALIFIED from the event and will be considered a no-card. A player who no-shows and/or no-cards at an event will have three (3) points deducted from their Metropolitan Amateur Series Ranking. If a player no-shows and/or no-cards twice in one season they will no longer be eligible for the Series Championship. Change of Flights A member may elect to change flights one time during the season. Amateur Series Ranking Points gained from previous events, will not transfer into the members new Series Ranking.
2010 Metropolitan Amateur Series Point System Each player who participates in an Amateur Series event will receive a minimum of 5 points for their participation in the event; they must return a scorecard to receive the minimum points. A player must participate in two (2) regular series events to be eligible to receive an invitation to the Series Championship October 2-3. Top eighteen (18) players and ties in each Flight will be invited to the Series Championship. The following points will be awarded in each flight, based upon the final results. For any tie(s) for the overall winner in a specific flight, see Appendix I of the USGA Rules of Golf, How to Decide Ties, Paragraph (c).
