Bowman wins medal; Godwin, Kennedy, Moloney

also qualify for 29th U.S. Mid-Amateur at Kiawah

Kory Bowman (pictured with Stan Grossman) of Springfield, Mo., was in the last group to finish today at WingHaven Country Club, but it was his 2-under par 70 that ended up being the day's low score in the 29th U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship Qualifying, on September 2. 

Robert Godwin of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Chesterfield's Brian Kennedy of Persimmon Woods, also qualified.  They shot 71 and 72 respectively to earn a trip to the 29th U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, October 3-8 at Kiawah Island Club in South Carolina. 

First Alternate Ted Moloney was also notified by the USGA that he will be included in the Mid-Amateur Championship field.
