KCGA defeats MAGA squad

in 10th Mid-America Junior Cup, 5-3


The Kansas City Golf Association won three of four foursomes matches on Day 2, to rally for a 5-3 win over the MAGA at the 10th Mid-America Junior Cup Matches at Glen Echo Country Club. After splitting four-ball matches on Saturday, the KCGA jumped out to early leads in all Sunday matches and held on in three of them to take the Cup back to Kansas City. The
team of Ben Crancer (Kirkwood) and Sami Khan (Visitation) earned the sole MAGA victory Sunday. The MAGA team was led by Khan, who contributed to two match wins. Crancer, Joe Migdal, Adam Welch and Haelena Schwemmer also were involved in match victories for the MAGA. Shaina Rennegarbe, Molly Edwards, and Bryce Dolan also represented the MAGA with distinction in the 10th playing of the event. The KCGA squad was led by Gianna Misenhelter, Allison Forristal, and Henry Simpson, each of whom contributed to two victories.
